Emulsion Lifts

2012 - Present

I have always been intrigued with the nostalgic and memories of Americana when dealing with the photographic object. This has led me in an exploration of the connections between memory and image; particularly the ability of a word or phrase to create visual fragments as it relates to the triggering of memory. These emulsion lift pieces work as explorations: creating complex relationships between images that work with, and against, words and narratives that seem to create their own private histories.
